Information about depositing your EU funded publication
The European Union (EU) requires that all publications resulting from their research funding are deposited immediately upon publication in a repository. They have partnered with OAPEN to provide a deposit service for the open access (OA) books and book chapters they have funded.
The OAPEN Library, a platform of OAPEN, is a repository set up specifically for OA books. We collect, host, and provide access to these books and book chapters to maximise dissemination and impact. We have a dedicated EU collection consisting of the former ‘ERC collection’ which includes 7th Framework Programme (FP7) and Horizon 2020 (H2020) publications, as well as Horizon Europe and future EU Research and Innovation funding programmes. Browse the collection.
Find out more about the EU’s support for open access and read their open science policy.
If you are the author of an OA book or book chapter resulting from EU funded research as part of any of the funding programmes stated above, we will help you deposit your work according to EU guidelines and requirements. The deposit service is free of charge. Deposit your publication using this form.
We encourage publishers to deposit applicable publications on their authors’ behalf.
For more information about self-archiving, choosing an appropriate publisher, and what to look for in your publishing agreement can be found in the OAPEN OA Books Toolkit. You can also use Think.Check.Submit. to identify trusted researchers for your publication.
