Peer review procedure
All book proposals received are initially assessed by our Editorial Board. Authors of those proposal deemed academically credible by the Board are asked to submit full manuscripts for review by a minimum of two academic experts in the relevant field, selected by the Editorial Board. This is a blind (typically not a double-blind) review process.
All reviewers are informed that our academic standards are very high and comparable to that of the very best University Presses, and asked to review the manuscripts accordingly. Publication decisions are made by the Editorial Board once the reviewers’ reports have been received.
Acceptance is typically conditional on authors addressing reviewers’ comments and recommendations to the Editorial Board’s satisfaction.
